SDCfA session at the CSIR 8th Biennial Conference

On Thursday, 3 November 2022, the SDCfA hosted a panel session on ‘the role of science diplomacy in supporting a capable state’ during the CSIR’s 8th Biennial Conference – the largest gathering in South Africa of science and industry.

PRESENTATIONS

Dr Sandile Malinga, CSIR Group Executive: Smart Society chaired the panel. The panelists were Daan du Toit Deputy Director General: International Cooperation and Resources, Mmampei Chaba Chief Director: Multilateral Cooperation and Africa, Mr Toto Matshediso Director: Global Projects – from the Department of Science and Innovation; Dr Blessed Okole Research Group Leader for Agro-processing, Dr Happy Sithole Centre Manager: National Integrated Cyber-Infrastructure System, Danny Naicker, CSIR Principal Engineer – from the CSIR; and Dr Nnenesi Kgabi, WAITRO Regional Focal Point for Africa, North-West University.
