SDCFA HOSTS LECTURE ON MULTILATERAL STI DIPLOMACY AND ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
SDCfA hosted a lecture on 15 May 2023 by Dr Amitava Bandopadhaya, the Director-General of the Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned Movement and other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre).
The lecture focused on multilateral science technology and innovation (STI) diplomacy and achieving sustainable development goals through partnerships. The audience include the diplomatic community from the NAM member states and supportive countries of the north.
The NAM S&T Centre, based in New Delhi, India, is an intergovernmental organisation that builds capacity in different science, technology, and innovation fields through workshops, training programmes, fellowships, and other forms.
Dr Bandopadhyay has over 35 years of R&D experience in the areas of mineral and materials processing; environment and energy related issues in metallurgical and chemical process industries; development of cleaner technologies; management of R&D programmes and related activities.
